FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We want your experiene to be effortless, beautiful, and stress-free. 

Here’s everything you need to know before your event.

 

Beach bonfire permits are issued by the South Walton Fire Department and are limited each night per beach access in Walton County.

Permits:

  • Are issued on a first-come, first-served basis
     
  • Are limited and frequently sell out during peak seasons
     
  • Are non-refundable and non-transferable
     

Without a Special Event Permit (SEP), bonfire permits become available two weeks prior to your event date, and your preferred beach location cannot be guaranteed. During peak seasons, we request three to four beach location choices.


 

Adding a Special Event Permit (SEP) allows you to secure your first-choice beach location and reserve your bonfire permit in advance.

Special Event Permits:

  • May be purchased up to one year in advance
     
  • More likely to secure your preferred beach access
     
  • Allow enhancements such as specialty lighting, catered food, and live music
     

If a burn ban, turtel nest or unsafe conditions (such as high winds) prevent bonfires, your SEP still allows us to host your event — just without the fire. We will gladly work with you to accommodate your party without the bonfire.

Please note: refunds are not offered for any reason.


 We are unable to personally serve food. All food must be provided by one of our preferred vendors, who are properly licensed and hold the required Walton County permits to operate on the beach.

Outside caterers must be pre-approved by our team and listed on the event permits. A vendor coordination fee will apply, as we hold the Special Event Permit (SEP) and manage vendor listing and compliance requirements.


  To protect our beaches and wildlife:

  • No glass of any kind
     
  • No special lighting after 9pm during turtle nesting season (May–October)
     
  • No fireworks or floating lanterns
     
  • No exploding confetti or latex balloons
     
  • No dogs without a beach permit
     
  • Leave No Trace — please use provided trash bins
     

During turtle nesting season, all artificial lighting must be turned off by 9pm. Bonfires and tiki torches may remain lit.

   Yes! We handle everything.

We set up and break down your event so you can simply arrive and enjoy. Events are held at vendor-approved beach accesses. 


  

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is due at booking
     
  • Permitting fees (if applicable) are also due at booking
     
  • Invoices must be paid within 24 hours to secure your reservation
     
  • Remaining balance is due 72 hours prior to your event
     

If the remaining balance is not paid on time, we reserve the right to cancel and offer the date to the next guest.


 All bookings are non-refundable.

Because we operate outdoor beach events that require county permits, labor scheduling, and limited availability, we do not offer refunds for any reason — including weather, permitting issues, turtle nests, or guest cancellations.

If weather prevents your event from taking place at the scheduled time, we will work with you to reschedule based on our availability and county permitting availability. Re-permitting fees will apply.
